Our commitment
S9 Enterprises LLC is committed to making Parure La Plee accessible in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make digital content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, or other assistive technologies.
Accessibility is not an afterthought for us — it is built into how we design and develop Parure La Plee from the ground up. We review our accessibility posture regularly and address issues as they are identified.
Current accessibility status
Parure La Plee (parure.app) is currently in pre-launch. We have taken the following measures to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards on our website:
- Skip to main content link for keyboard users
- Semantic HTML landmark roles (nav, main, footer)
- Descriptive alt text on all images
- Proper heading hierarchy (H1 → H2)
- Visible focus styles for keyboard navigation
- ARIA labels on all interactive elements
- Zoom and text resizing not blocked
- Form fields with autocomplete attributes
- Color not used as the sole means of conveying information
- Page language declared in HTML
- VoiceOver (iOS) compatibility throughout onboarding
- TalkBack (Android) compatibility throughout onboarding
- Dynamic text size support across all screens
- Sufficient touch target sizes (minimum 44×44pt)
- Color contrast audit on all app screens
- Reduced motion support for animations
Known limitations
We are transparent about areas we are still working to improve:
- Mobile app — our app is currently in development. Full screen reader and assistive technology compatibility will be completed before public launch and tested on both iOS and Android.
- AI-generated content — outfit recommendations and color analysis results generated by our AI are delivered as text and images. We are working to ensure all AI-generated visual content includes descriptive text alternatives.
- Wardrobe item images — user-uploaded wardrobe photos do not currently have automatic alt text generation. We plan to add AI-powered alt text suggestions for uploaded clothing items in a future update.
Assistive technologies we support
Our website is designed and tested to work with the following assistive technologies:
- Screen readers — VoiceOver (macOS and iOS), NVDA (Windows), TalkBack (Android)
- Keyboard-only navigation
- Browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- High contrast display modes
- Voice control software (Voice Control on macOS/iOS, Dragon NaturallySpeaking)
Technical standards
Parure La Plee aims to conform to the following standards:
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA — Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative
- Section 508 — U.S. federal accessibility standards for electronic information technology
- ADA Title III — accessibility requirements for places of public accommodation, which courts have increasingly applied to websites and apps
- Apple Human Interface Guidelines — accessibility best practices for iOS app development
- Google Material Design Accessibility — accessibility best practices for Android app development
